Communications solutions

Our ability to communicate with each other is one of mankind’s most valuable assets.  From the grunts and groans of our prehistoric ancestors to the highly-sophisticated methods available to us today, we have developed all sorts of ways of sharing needs, intentions and information.

This is particularly important in business.  Clear, concise information can avoid much misunderstanding - and save a lot of time and expense.  But some of us don’t always get it right first time.

Look in from the outside

It is all too easy to be so close to the subject that you don’t put yourself in the position of those receiving the message.  It is often helpful to have someone to look in from the outside.

Getting the words right

Before a single word is written, you need to be clear about:

  1. Who are your targets - the people or groups of people you wish to reach?
  2. What is the message - what do you want to say to them?

Some business people may be excellent at their proper jobs but are not always the best at committing thoughts and policies to words.  They all recognise that, from time to time, they need professional help, such as from a solicitor or an accountant.  But they don’t always accept that they can actually save money by employing a professional writer.

For someone struggling to produce the text for a newsletter, report, brochure, promotional script or website, a professional writer can take much of the pain away - and often more quickly.
